SKY WITH NO LIMIT
The Eagle Nebula: glowing orange and pink gas with dark pillars of dust at its centre, surrounded by reddish nebulosity.

About Sky With No Limit

Sky With No Limit is astrophotography from Zürich — Dominik Waluk's photographs of galaxies, nebulae and star clusters, taken right here in the city.

Astrophotography shows what the eye alone can't. Most of these objects are far too faint to reveal their colour and structure at a glance; a camera on a telescope gathers their light over long exposures until the detail emerges.

That light is old. It left the nebulae of our own galaxy hundreds or thousands of years ago, and the galaxies beyond it millions of years ago — every photograph is a look back in time.

Sky With No Limit brings these photographs to you: as the 2027 calendar, in print and for your computer, as digital editions of the photographs themselves, and with the astronomical events of the year.

About the Photographer

Dominik Waluk

My name is Dominik Waluk, and I am passionate about astronomy and astrophotography. For the past two years, I have been photographing the night sky from the rooftop terrace at Eggbühlstrasse, where I live. Through this collection, I am delighted to share a small part of my passion with my neighbours and hope these images inspire curiosity about the wonders of the universe above us.

Where the photographs are taken

One rooftop in Zürich.

This is where every photograph of Sky With No Limit is taken: the rooftop terrace at Eggbühlstrasse, with the telescopes pointed at the sky above Zürich.
